Let the Fun Begin
Do you have the subs already? If you do...and as you stated earlier that they are 4ohm voice coiled, then you have some options on amplifiers.
Basically you have to look at each coil as a seperate sub. So if you have one sub with 2 4ohm coils you can wire those two coils in parallel, and have one 2 ohm woofer. OR you can wire the two coils in series, and have an 8ohn woofer. Now...seing as how you have 2 physical woofers, you can then take each woofer ( if wired to 2ohms) and run the two in series, giving you one 4ohm mono load! or you can choose an amp that puts out all its power into two 2ohm channels, and jsut hook up each woofer directly to each channel (dont forget each coil was alread wired in parallel giving you that 2 ohm load already)
So basically what you are trying to do, is have your woofer in a certain configuration which will allow your amp to put out the most power it can safely into a certain ohm load!

Just remember that each coil on a DVC sub is like a seperate speaker

I ordered the subs last night. Wired correctly, the PDX-M6 is a great match for the pair of 10"'s.
I have officially ordered EVERYTHING, minus the wiring and deadening. I will order the deadening soon, but after I get paid, I will order all of the wiring.
Since I decided to build the CARPC too, instead of using the factory HU, I've spend $2000 more than my original budget. But, I'm actually quite comfortable with it. All of the carpc components are ordered too, with the exception of the CPU, Flac HDD, and wifi adapter, all of which I am picking up tomorrow at Microcenter. I also still need to order the touchscreen, but I want to wait until my Metra Double DIN bezel comes in, so I can do some measurements and find the perfect touchscreen.
