What enclosure are you using with your Sclass? 10"? 12"? 1 or 2?

Also, where did you get your Hertz components? I've been looking at reviews, and they say that they are the best.

I really like the speakers you picked out for your setup. What amp do you have for your hertz? What would you recommend for the rear speakers to compliment the hertz?

I know I'm going above my $1000 budget, but I typically do it with everything I do. I'd rather do it right now, then regret it, and end up upgrading later.

I should really post all these questions at the same time....

Would you recommend adding the HCX-165's to the rear doors of my SCrew? Use components up front, and the coaxials in the rear? Plus the Memphis Sclass sub?

Also, I can't seem to find this answer, and as stupid as this question sounds, are these speakers sold in a pair, or separately? I always seem them pictured with 2, but it is never clarified...

Again, thanks.

I get then from ebay, this is the old model, but they use to run for about $400, and they are really nice.

For the amp, i'm using a Profile AP1040 4ch amp, bridge sending 150-200 rms to comps, this amp is supposed to be cheap, but i have it for more than 5 years beating to death and it won't die.

I have been running without rear fill for more than 4 years and 3 cars, so you should be fine without rear fill, and if you want rear fill, get some cheap coax, like pioneer and run then from the HU.

Yes, they came in pair, unless you buy pro audio equipment that are sell per unit.

For that price, I might as well do the MLK-165's. I've heard that once you hear those over the HSK's, you won't go back. They really aren't that much more. Ebay sellers have them for between $350 and $500.

So MLK-165's up front. I think I'm set on that.

Like you, Memphis SClass in the rear. Just a single 12" though. I might just do the SuperCrewSound one I saw, or see if someone can built me one that will go in the center underneath the rear bench.

What I need...

Sound dampening,
Processor,
Amps.

Have you checked out joefox's boxes? He was making some new 09+ boxes last thread I saw. Here's his website: http://www.foxacoustics.com/
EDIT: Here's the 09 thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f30/new-20...b-boxes-56000/

Check out sounddeadenershowdown.com, RAAM Audio, secondskinaudio, and edead for deadening.

I PM'd Joe to see if they made a single 12" enclosure that will be placed in the middle underneath the rear bench. If he doesn't, I'm sure he can make one.

So, I need a 4channel amp for the front doors. 2ch for tweeters, and 2ch for woofers, correct? The MLK165's run at 4ohms @ 150W continuous, so I need to find a 4ch amp that puts out between 150W-200W a 4 ohms per channel. Correct?

And for the rear doors, I'm going with the HCX165's, and with these, I need a 2ch amp that puts out about 150W at 4 ohms each. Or should I do a 4channel, and bridge the last two channels for the sub?

Brand recommendations on the amps? And what class amps for the speakers?

You may want to consider going active since you're going to bi-amp anyways. Class D will save you on space and current requirements, Class A/B for your front stage will have less distortion than Class D, but will be considerably larger and current hungry. I would power that Memphis all it can take with that much on tap for your front stage. You may want to consider skipping rear fill.

What is your amp budget now?

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going over budget, and that's okay. I want amps that will match the speakers well, but I don't want to go toooo overboard.

I may skip the rear fills, but I do want to add them later. For passenger's sake, I like having good audio all around.

If I got something like AB class amps, would I have to do the BIG 3 mod?

Also, there are so many brands, types, classes, models... It's hard to even begin looking at amps. I read so many reviews, but there are just so many, it's a little overwhelming.
