Sync Message Screen Displays "DVD" with Aftermarket HU
Just changed out the factory HU and went with an aftermarket, but kept the sync with the MS-FRD1. Now the display reads DVD. Is there any way to keep the screen to say "built ford tough" like at startup??

I'm having the same problem after installing a SONY in dash navigation unit. I don't have SYNC. The startup logo, temp, and compass still work, but "DVD" shows on the screen all the time. Did you solve your problem? Does anyone know how to correct this?

Same here pioneer 3300BT scoushe fdsr harness
DVD is in the display. |
I've looked and talked to several people about this before.
You cannot remove the "DVD" title as when an aftermarket hu is installed, the new harness & brain is tricking the truck to think a DVD is playing to override the truck controls allowing the new hu to function. I have also had 2 or 3 different pioneer hu in this truck and all do same thing |

I have an aftermarket pioneer radio with the MS-frd1. Computer has been re flashed for a few months now and I haven't had any problems with anything.

Same problem here, using the PAC C2R-FRD1 interface. Shows DVD all the time and I also lost the clock display. I would like to know if there is a way to get the clock back.
Thanks |

Thanks No. You will use the clock on the new HU |
