I've got an Orion 7005 in my Nissan powering a sealed 10" Infinity, and some polk components/2ways, run off a Alpine CDA-117. I love it, just about perfect for me. Sometimes I wish I had a bit more bass, but that is rarely. When I play Rap (very Rarely) my mirrors shake, and I can feel the hair on my head tingle.

Anyway, I'm planning on upgrading my FX4, My original plan was a 4 channel, and a mono, but I might have to look at 5 channel current offerings.

From what I've read a processor will help the factory HU, because the HU has built in bass reduction at higher volumes, a processor should help boost those back up. I'm just trying to decide whether I want to splice a Metra BT-5520 to a Hifonics MX-1 or a PAC FRD-24 to another processor with RCA inputs. I think I'll get a single 12" (shallow) in a supercrewsound box. I've got 2 pairs of Kenwood 2-ways already in place of the stock speakers, but I might replace the fronts with a component system.

I'm still digging my 5 channel. What I'm not digging is the bass dropping out because of the stock headunit. I guess I should have read more, but this forum has so much information that its hard to nail it ALL down. Which is a good thing I suppose.

Anyway, install was simple but I haven't had time to run new speaker wire to my doors. How did you guys get around the molex connector at the door boot? Ford really didn't want me to alter my audio system I'm beginning to think. Ha!

So, I bought a 5 channel Alpine amp, the PAC wiring harness and have a couple of questions. I know how to hook up the PAC (pretty simple) for the 4 door speakers. But how does the sub get its signal now? Would I have to run an LOC off of one of the sets of RCA's before they get to the PAC, or after? I can't figure out how its going to get its signal now.

i know it's gonna take some time to watch... but your answers are in both vids.
