HELP! i switched my headunit and after i wired it all back up i have no power to my stereo! checked the wires before where i spliced them and there is no power, checked fuses and they are all good. any suggestions, driving with no stereo is rather boring

Um... Need more info.

What year? Are you using a PAC interface? Something else? Yellow is the battery positive. Did you check voltage there?

so after looking over the fuses and wiring again, all the wiring is correct but a fuse was blown, so i put a new one in and as soon as it turned on it blew the fuse again, should i just try using a higher amp fuse?

OMG...do not put a higher fuse in! the fuse is blowing b/c you have wired it up incorrectly. At this point id start over...my advice...first connect the three wires that are need to jsut power up the unit...your Red ACC wire..your yellow main constant wire..and the black ground wire...after hooking these up..then power on the unit..if all is good...continue hooking up the speaker connections.

You have a short somewhere in your wiring. Are you using a harness?

yup using a harness, i re did the wiring 3 times trying to find a mistake, even had 2 other friends have a look at it and give it a shot and still same problem, im just thinking i have a piece of garbage head unit

possibly a bad head unit. pull it and power it up off a battery and see if the fuse blows if it does its probably bad

I agree with poptop...if you suspect the head unit..pull it out...and take the yellow constant wire and the red ACC wire from the radio, and tie them together....then put a fuse on that wire....and go to your battery, and connect the black ground wire from your radio to the negative post..and the "two wire with fuse" onto the positive....your radio will then work...if not...then its a bad radio! there are ONLY 3 wires needed to be hooked up to have your radio work...its not rocket science...good luck
