Default Static at zero volume

Just finished my full installation in my truck, running 3 JL 10's on JL1200/1 HD and Infinity Kappa components on a JL 600/4 HD. They are processed through a DSR1. I am getting a good bit of static at zero volume. Any tips on what to check for to eliminate the static?

If it is a constant static and does not change with rpm (gain hiss), yours gains are set too high. How did you set you gains?

If it is a variable hiss at volume 0 then checking ground and grounding directly to the battery where I would start.

Turning the gain down fixed it. Thanks all.

that brings up another question - how did you set your gains? if not done properly you can cause damage to your amp, your speakers or even both.
