Default Speaker won't fit (metal getting in way)

Installed some speakers today. Yes, these are the correct size. Fit perfectly in the rear doors no problem, but when I went to install a set in the front the metal edges and extra spots where you can screw it are getting in the way. I tried bending and folding them, but it still will not fit in completely. I can get it where I can screw the bottom part of the speakers in, but not the top. Any tips?

mine were like that i used a hacksaw and trimmed the sides. as long as you have the 4 corners it will stay in place. just cut off the sides that dont fit.

Did you remove the door panels or just that screen?
