Hello, I've never own a F-150 in the past, man! i like my new XLT with sport package and that 2.7 ecoboost turbo works very well so far, only 400 miles on it but! the stereo i'm not too much of a fan. A friend of mine passed me his Sony speaker from his 2012 lariat. I wonder if they fit and how good would they be? Also, i'm thinking about getting the JBL GX series for the truck. What do you guys think?

I have the sync 3 with 8" display. would i need a crossover? or with Sync3 is enough just to upgrade the speakers.

Ditch the Sony all together. Go with the Morel Maximo components. Nothing special about infinity.

 

Ya get rid of the sony speakers...there is probably a reason why he isn't using them. Also 2012 is a 5x7 speaker in all four doors and newer is not.

Depending on what you want I would do this:

Easy:
Morel Speakers
Kicker Key Amp for a more power and some auto tune mounted right behind screen
FOR-11ck harness for no cut/splice

Better but slightly harder:
Morel Speakers
Dayton DSP 408 (can get remote tuned via DHM)
amp of your choice (suggestion for cheaper: )
Sub of your choice (Suggestion for cheaper: )
FOR-11ck harness for no cut/splice
