Default Speaker Recomendations?

I am looking to replace my front door and rear door speakers. I feel that the tweeters are decent enough just looking for a little more bass.

Any recomendations?

So your truck has separate tweeters in the front? Is that the Sony system? I just had the base 6-disc sync unit and the speakers were all down in the door. I put component speakers (6.5" Alpine Type S) in the front door and mounted the tweeters up high in the doors. That alone made it sound tons better! Then I replaced the rear doors with 5x7 two-way Apline Type S and then put a 10" sub under the rear seat. It's not a loud "boomy" system just a good sounding one. Light years ahead of what came in it!

Mine isn't the Sony system, but the 2012 FX4 with Luxury package came with tweeters from the factory.

I'm with ya. I don't want to spend a lot of money doing it, but anything has to be better than the stock ones.

You may as well replace the tweeters because you can't buy the mid range speaker on it's own. You would have to buy coaxial and that would sound bad. But you won't really notice an improvement unless you get an amp otherwise it will sound almost the same. The factory radio limits bass and treble when you get to a certain volume so it doesn't distort, this is why you probably want more bass.

I suggest infinity kappa http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...=US&Region=USA

This is what I'm going to do for an amp https://www.f150forum.com/f30/small-...stalled-96750/

Depends on what you want to spend, but if money is not the issue, always go with Focal for mids and highs and JL on the deeps.

But if you're changing the speakers in the doors, get a component set and do it right. If you go with good quality speakers and don't change the tweeters, things like washing out the tweeters will happen.
