a good set of Polk components would work....For a straight coaxial, I like Memphis.

in my 07 silverado i had infinity reference series.. personaly i would never buy them again... now the infinity kappa series i here realy good things about. I also have heard even better reviews on the polk speakers... I went into a store where i live and listened to some memphis speakers and they sounded pretty good. What I have been doing is going to www.crutchfield.com and looking at speakers then going to google and looking for reviews. The problem is that everyone has different taste in how music should sound to them. JBL is another good one but if the use silk domes in the tweeters they will not produce the higher side of the spectrum for long at all.. Good luck and let us know what u decide

JL is my vote for sure. Even the tr sereis coax is a great sounding speaker. Memphis makes a good product, but their full range speakers are bright for my taste and do not have the mid bass sound of the JL's. I also would recommend for you to run a 4 channel amp even if it is down the road, but you will definitly be happy then.

I would stay away from the infinity speakers, I had the infinity gold series in my Dakota, and they blew, and I have the infinity speakers in my front doors right now, and they are not the best, but defiantly a upgrade over stock.

I cant complain that much, as I got them new from best buy for 55 bucks!

Ty i felt the same way you do... i had infinity reference series...hated them... a friend of mine had 2 pairs of infinity kappaa's...oh man...what a difference... he has had his for a couple years i think and has had no problems... i am putting 2 pairs of kappa's in my 08 screw on friday .. one reason i went with them also is that they were the only speakers in the 5x7, 6x8 area that were 100 watts rms... i got a 4 channel amp that is rated at 125 and illturn it down a little so iget a good clean sound...let u know how it turns out.
