Sound system for 04' F-150 (Screw)
Finally, the sound system was finished. Although, I still wanted to add one additional item. With the rear bench seat still off, and the uncovering of the factory black carpet, I wanted to make the area behind the seat more appealing. Thus, I went to Hobby Lobby, and looking through tons of great fabrics I discovered this clover pattern. There were plenty of other greats ones, including a kilt-like plaid pattern, which would’ve served its justice. No matter the option I chose, and the criticism it may take, be glad I didn’t go with the little cowboys pattern, or raccoons pattern. The clover fabric worked out fairly well. Nothing was stabled, glued, or taped; it is all tucked under its surroundings. However, it is covering the capacitor, but I don’t think it will be too much of a problem, because the bottom of the fabric is hanging loosely, allowing air to circulate.

Overall, the sound system turned out to be everything I dreamed, and then some. Despite multiple setbacks, and modifications to ensure the system would be completed, it was well worth the wait. The subwoofers sound absolutely incredible, even with how the box was modified. Those subs matched with the door speakers are a great match. The amplifier, so far has kept up with the power supply, and hasn’t had any struggles with handling the subwoofers. Though, there is the possibility of the amp overheating, with how I use my sound system it won’t be much of a problem. However, I am aware of it happening, especially with little room to breath behind the seat. The capacitor was definitely a nice touch. Even though the real reason I like it is because of a cool beep it makes when it turns on, and the blue lights it has, the capacitor has done a good job as well. Well, that being said, because my battery hasn’t died from the sound system playing yet. I am planning on upgrading my battery fairly soon, or maybe when more stuff gets added. However, I don’t know if that will become two batteries, or only one massive battery. Sorry, for the late update, but I hope this essay made up for it. Thank you to everyone who voiced their input with recommendations, and help. I would specify the names, but there’s too many to list, so thanks! Any questions, comments, or concerns are welcome. Criticism can be sent to me in the form of a PM.

Thanks. What do you mean by space, and the back of the sub? The back of the sub is directly underneath the rear bench seat, which there basically is no space, because the 3/4" extension of the box is pushing (barley) into the seat. However, this isn't an issue with the sound of the sub, space-wise, because the front part of the subwoofer is pointing downwards at the ground, which has about 1-2" of breathing room. Oh, and I actually did attempt to make a video, but was second guessing on posting it. The video doesn't do the system justice, but I'll see if I can get something together.
What i meant is the back of the sub has a hole, this is called a vented pole piece usually you are supposed to leave space behind it to allow it to vent air, I was wondering if you left any gap or if the cap is right over the top of the magnet.
