Works Great
Thanks to the great write-ups on this forum (and others)..
I just installed a SO B-8PT in my 2012 Super Crew FX4, works great. I have it installed behind the rear seat on the driver's side.
When the seat is down, fits just fine behind the seat. With the seat up, there is a brace that digs a bit into the sub, but it's not terrible with the sub all the way towards the door (will probably install some rubber padding on the brace).
I've grounded the sub at the bolt that holds the seatback (horizontal bolt, size M11 or M12?). The remote sense wire is actually tapped into the right rear speaker's + wire, where I tapped it for the RCA plug. This is great because the sub actually turns off when the stereo is off.
The RCA plugs came from Radio Shack. They are lonnng bare-wire 18awg speaker wires with an RCA plugs at one end.
Power is routed using Crutchfield's included amp wiring kit 8awg power cable, direct from the battery through the rubber grommet at the top of the firewall on the pax side. (Used a 14awg wire to fish through a carefully drilled hole in the grommet, then taped to the 8awg cable and pulled through. Used that same leader 14awg to get through the pillar behind the pax seat).
The right rear speaker is tapped next to the pax seat using Posi-Taps from NAPA Auto Parts (dang they are expensive - and larger than I remember). As mentioned above, the remote sense wire was added to the + tap. These are layed down in the channel so that sill goes back over them.
Still need to tap the left rear speaker, but should be a piece of cake after all that.
Warning: pulling up the door sills can be tough, use a plastic body tool to do it so you don't break it like I did. $60+ to replace.

I would post pics but my only internet source is my droid now. I know i'm cheap. Have to afford a new truck some how. Anyway the sub sounds much better now that I turned the gain down and got it all adjusted, not going to hit like a real sub but fits underneath the passenger front seat and adds the bass I was looking for. Have to change my speakers now cause the highs wont keep up, looking into just doing the infinity reference since they are made to run off the stock head unit and can add a amp later.

Yeah, its pretty heavy (15lbs?) so it just sits there (between the two brackets that support the seat). I haven't heard it slide around any, though I may add a velcro strip (included with sub) to the bottom to grip the carpet as insurance.
