You could use a crimp connector or solder it.

I crimp myself. If it's good enough for the US military, it's good enough for me. Do get a good quality ratcheting crimper though.

I've never heard of a ratcheting crimper.

I just installed mine this weekend and I am pleasantly surprised at how it sounds. I tried it without the remote, but ended up adding the remote for more control. I'm very satisfied with it until I can replace the stock speakers.
I ended up putting it behind the back seat on the passenger side. I did have to cut the insulation, but oh well, life somehow went on.
Not a bad upgrade to the stock stereo for a great price.

I did have one question though... when I turn off the truck or turn off the stereo, there is a loud low hum noise for less than a second coming from the sub. Does anyone have this issue?

Don't have that issue at all. Is your ground good and solid?
You did hook up the remote turn-on/off wire from the PAC unit ?

Mine silently turns on and off with the factory radio via the PAC unit and the turn-on/off wire. I never notice it cycling power.

Do you have any completed pictures of your set up? I just ordered my SO B8PT and AOEM FRD24. I decided to just go with one of the powered subs. In total i spent less than $200 on everything so I am pretty excited.
