And so the adventure begins....

I can highly recommend the Fix86. Using just a LOC to drive your subs does nothing to fix the crappy OEM signal processing. The bass drops off sharply as the volume increases. Yes, it is not cheap, but if you are going through the expense and labor of upgrading your speakers and adding a sub and an amp or two, it will complete the install. I also recommend a level control for your sub, either by using DRC-200 with your Fix or remote level control on the amp that drives your sub.

Do you have any pictures or diagrams on how you mounted your component speakers?

thanks,
but can you show the tweeter mount as well?
that is wear i am having difficulty, do you leave the tweeters out and use just factory location, looking for the conceal factory look so I won't void my warranty.
thanks

I have mine surface mounted. I will take a picture later and try to post it. My primary goal is sound with looks a secondary goal. I disconnected the speaker in the A pillar.
I am still looking for the right color foam piece to put in between the sail panel and the back of tweeter housing to fill that gap, just hasn't been a priority.

Look at post #22 of this thread. I used the harness in that post to tap the signal. One set of the colored wires tapped the source and the other set went to the speakers through the factory speaker wires. That harness is a plug-and-play for the 2015+ models. I'm sure there is a similar harness for the 2009-2014. Check the Metra website.
