I did not realize that was so thin! I probably would've gone that route although that would be tough to get to .80

Crap...fixed it lol.

Glue another sheet to the front that's the same thickness that the sub protrudes. This will stiffen things up without loosing depth or volume.

you don't have to use solid pieces of wood, anything similar to this would work.

What year of F150 is this being mounted in? If you're installing in a 09-14 F150, can you please tell us your dimensions?

Thanks

I'm not that good with the router! I just cut some pieces about 4-5 inches long and same depth as the internal of the box and slid them thru the sub hole and put some liquid nails on the edges and nailed them in. Seems to have helped the issue, but I may try some polyfill.

polyfill isn't what you need unless you built the box too small for the airspace needed for the sub. ployfill "tricks" the sub into thinking there is more airspace because it slows down the waves.

Guess it also comes down to sound preference. I built my box to JL's spec. Adding polyfill made the sub hit much tighter (less boomy) and lower. Try it...the worst that will happen is that you won't like it and you will be out $5.

yea i'm barely below spec on box, but being barely below on .5 cubic feet could potentially be a good amount! lol, anyway like ajb said, worst case scenario u just take it out if it doesn't work out.

also you will usually find polyfill in the pre-loaded boxes from JL and Kicker
