I'll add my 2 cents. Last weekend I installed some Hertz HSK 165's in the front doors. I ran 14ga wire from the amp behind the rear seats, up the passenger side, and through the molex connector into the front passenger door. I drilled a 3/8" hole, as there was plenty of room in the connector.

When I ran the left side wire through the dash and over to the driver's side, it was a different story. The molex connector was slam full, with all of the pins occupied with a different wire. In the end I had to put the driver's side crossover in the space below the OEM CD player, and tie into the factory speaker wire feeding the door speaker. I was able to run new wire to the tweeter, though.

On a side note, I'm having a hell of a time getting the molex connectors to "snap" back into place. They keep falling back out. Any ideas/help?

Pics? Specifically of the driver's side? I have an XLT 302A, and the driver's side molex was packed. There were no open spots in it...

I highly doubt any pics will be posted of said speaker wire run through the driver side molex.

Funny how someone always say they`ve done something that many have tried but have no proof.

If i`m wrong i`ll gladly apologize to poster FatnFurious.

I didnt take any pictures when I did it. I was asked for pics after it is put back together. I will tell you. I took it apart to try and get some pics and crushed 4 of the pins for while putting it back together so screw your pics. Lol. My driver side had 4 open slots on the second row on the right. The biggest pain was removing the parking break bracket.

Why not just use the stock locations in the A pillars? They will be better locations for tweeters anyway - there or the sail panels.
