I put in a Pioneer Avic-930BT and so far Im not happy. When I speak on the phone everyone says it sounds like crap. And other words as well...I never had anyone complain speaking threw the stock sync. I may just go back to the sync system. I called pioneer and they said try a better mic. So I guess the one that comes with the unit is crap! nice! so can a guy use the mic from the sync thats in the headliner? Also this unit has no voice commands, not pioneers fault I just over looked this, I thought all of them had this in todays world, just dont want someone else to make the same mistake I did. So can i reuse the OEM mic?

I put the mic on the steering column so I'd be talking right into it. Thoughts?

Sound travels up so i would try moving it right along the edge above the window.. Not on the door but higher up near to your face the closer the better...You can tuck the wire behind the moulding ... should work....
