Default Question on Powering 4 Door Speakers and 2 Subs on a 5 Channel Amp

Right now I have my four door speakers and one subwoofer connected to a 1000 watt 5 channel amp.

I'm switching to a different subwoofer setup and will have two subs connected (in one box).

I'm pretty sure the other four channels are dedicated to my door speakers, so that only leaves one channel for subs right?

If so, how do I hook up both subs to the one channel on the amp?

Just to clarify..... I'm basically just adding one more sub to the amp. How would I do that?

What is the amp stable to in ohms? and what is the impedance of the subs in ohms? It will be real simple depending on those 2 things.

Speakers are 250 watts RMS (4 ohms, max 500 watts)

Amp is 5-channel, 40 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms + 300 watts x 1 at 4 ohms.

If they are dvc u can wire them at 4 ohms, if svc your going to be stuck at 2 or 8 ohm load, I'm pretty sure.

What model number is the amp? Need to know if it is 2 ohm stable for the sub.
If it is just run positive to positive and negative to negative on your subs. You will end up at 2 ohms

You can run 2 subs off of the amp as long as your final impedance is 2 ohms or higher. You will need a pair of single 4 ohm subs or a pair of dual 2 ohm subs

Is there any advantage running 2 subs instead of 1 without using a bigger amp?

More surface = more air movement = more bass.

Depends on what size amp you are asking about. I run an Alpine 500x1 for dual 10's
