Don't know if all the pics I uploaded are showing up or not. Anyways, everything is going well as far as the box build. I still can't believe how perfectly the sub fits the frame. Got the back sides of the box put on today, and also made a front support for the sub, that I attached to the frame. Having a band saw helps out big time when cutting out small and crooked slots in the wooden sides I cut. My cuts are far from perfect, (I'm using a jig saw) but everything will be covered up by the seat so it really shouldn't matter. I literally put an entire tube of caulking all over everything today - hoping to seal up all the imperfections in the cuts I made (quite a few of them). Basically all I'm going to have to do now is cut out a top for the box and attach it, and seal up the holes towards the back of the box. There are open spaces where the actual frame of the seat meets the back support frame of the seat. After that, all I'll have left to do is cut on the seat cushion until it fits the box, and figure out some kind of way to lift the seat off of the ground an inch or two so the sub has plenty of clearance from the floor. It's getting there!

Just in case the all the pics weren't showing up (they aren't on my computer), I uploaded some of them again. You can see what the box will essentially look like from the bottom and the top. I really hope the sub sounds good in the box after all this work!

Got the top cut out for the box today, screwed it down and caulked everywhere I could. Towards the back of the frame were 2 big holes where the vertical part and sides of the frame come together. All I could really do was cut a wedged shape piece of wood and fit it in there. I pounded it with a hammer and put half a tube of caulking over it on each side. Looked terrible, but it's covered up by the seat. I had to cut into the bottom part of the cushion to get it to line up with the top part of the console. Surprisingly, it's a great fit. I sat on it too and its pretty sturdy. Next step was to paint the sides of the box, which I just spray painted... drying right now. So all I have left to do is put the sub in, switch the cushion cover in my truck and the top part of the console. Only concern I still have is figuring out how to lift the seat and inch or so in order for the sub to be off of the ground. I might do something as simple and put 1 inch blocks under the front frame attachments, but that wont work for the back because they can only be accessed from inside of the box I built... which means I would have to take the cushion off, and then the top of the box off (16 screws, plus I glued it), so I'm going to have to figure something else out. Hope everything turns out alright! Will post more updates as progress continues.
