Question Power wire through firewall

I have a 05 single cab and I am trying to run my power wire from my amp to the engine compartment through the firewall. I posted a thread yesterday and found a grommet to use on the drivers side but is there a way to get it through on the passenger side? Due to the fact that the battery is on that side. Thanks

You'll either have to run the power wire all the way over to the drivers side or drill a hole in the passenger's side of the fire wall. Not that big of a deal really.

theres gromet that comes just at the bottom of the battery box on the passenger side (at least on my 04) removed battery and battery box ran wire thru grommet - pulled glove box down (little "catch" tab at end of glovebox)

either way - from the passenger side or the drivers - the drivers is easier to get to but if your tight on wire like i was my only option with the wire i had was to go the way i did....hey khusson1 your new install looks great - how long did it take you...

I didnt do the install myself. I would have liked to, but in the end I am very happy I decided to leave it to guys who do it everyday. It took them a while. They had it for like 3 days and off and on for a few more days. Way too long, but I wanted it done! Thanks by the way!

run your wire under you truck and bring and drill a hole somewhere near your amp to bring it up into the cab just make sure after the wire is run through you seal the hole back up

DO NOT DO THIS! Theres not an installer in the country, unless an idiot, that would recommend you run the power wire under the truck

It works perfectly fine under my truck. I had a high end car audio shop in Orlando do an install in my truck and it works perfect. The only difference may be that my power wire is running back to a 4 pack of batteries in the bed of my truck and then into my cab.

having a live power wire under a truck is dumb. is it at leased sealed and very tight and not just dangling?
