Default Pioner 3200BT Installed

Just want to say Thanks to those of you that helped with the connecter problem I had the other day. I am not really happy with the fit or finish of the Sochoce trim so now I will be on the hunt for something better.

The 09s get a whole new dash piece huh? I just installed this same radio into my 08 Scab and I love it. I was on the fence with spending that kind of money but very glad I did. I used the Metra kit and it looks like total butt. I stopped at the best radio shop in town and talked to them about it, their installer said that you can no longer get good kits, he could make it work but at $40 its not that annoying, and I could do the same thing if I wasn't lazy. I did pick up 2 pairs of Memphis speakers on sale for $50 each, the fronts are now in and sound so much better. Got to get the rears in next couple of days.

What don't you like with the fit? It looks pretty darn good in there.

Ipod in the front only. I think the 4200 and new models may have rear ipod input. I don't get why that's an issue for people, you have to have a wire for the ipod one way or the other. Why not make it easier to replace if it breaks?

I paid $350 at a local bestbuy because it's last years model and the 3300BT is out now, it was brand new so I don't care, I saved $100.

Howdy a few things. The HU does not fit in it correctly I have adjusted it the best I could and it still sits back a bit on the left 1/16" It has an 1/8" gap at the top, and the it does not appear to be square all the way around the HU. I did not have time to adjust it much more yesterday, but when I put in the rear view camera I will play with it again. Also it is a Flat Black and I really don't like the finish of it. I guess I should have looked at it better.

Hey Mlarv! I'm thinking about getting the same exact unit. How long did it take you to install it? Are you satisfied with the unit?

Also last question... After the install do you lose any of the functionality in the mini display? I see in your picture it still says F150 Built Ford Tough. What about the clock, outside temp, and compass?

Thanks in advance!

The HU works Great I also installed the HD radio add on. It took a little longer then it should have because I got the FD11 wire harness adapter and did not know there was no switched 12 volts at the plug. I ran a fuse tap from fuse number 41 in the side fuse panel to the HU and all is well. The information display will always say F150 Built Ford Tough the temp and compass are still there the clock is gone. After figuring out the switched fuse trick it took about 45 minutes to install it. I have to run a rear camera to it and I don't think it will take me 15 minutes to pull it and replace it again. Good Luck
