Hi guys,

Does anyone knows if the Pioneer TS-G6843R needs the Metra wiring adapter? (...for a clean installation?)

i have the speakers and it has some sort of adaptor with it but i did not open yet ill let you know..

Most likely yes. Factory speaker wiring does not use spade connectors. It has a Ford custom connector. That adapter allows you to connect to the Ford connector and the spade terminals on the speakers.

the answer is yes if you want an easy install without cutting anything. installed today, made the job fast and easy.

Any aftermarket speaker will require the wiring harness.

I made my own wiring adapters by pulling the connectors and the short wires attached to them off the stock speakers and soldering some spade terminal ends to them. Cost me a couple bucks at Walmart for the spade connectors.
