I believe that these would fit nicely with both the box and the amp, more $$ than you were looking at but you are going to find that when matching the amp for its output. Need to check mounting depth though, I didn't look at that, will look a bit closer in the AM.

Would you recommend 2 or just a single?

I would say 2 are needed to match the amp output, have a look at these, they look like they will do a nice job. But remember the box needs to stuffed with accoustic material.

Got it all hooked up and absolutely no complaints!! Easy install took about 35 minutes.!!! It in color too!
