first thing is first, did you get the 8 gauge power wire from your battery into the cab yet?

Not yet. I'm having an issue with the sub not fitting in the box. Working that out with SupercrewSound. So in the meantime I was going to do the following in this order:

Install front comps
run power wire from batt to rear seat
Mount amp and LOC on MDF

Is it absolutely necessary to cut the carpet/insulation or can I just mount the MDF on top of the carpet. Id rather not cut if I don't have to.

I was able mount the amps without cutting the insulation.

i just installed an amp and subs in my truck. i'll get some pics up. the amp wire was easy there is a rubber boot on the firewall with wires coming out of it. that boot goes behind the glove box. thats where i ran mine.
