No power to the deck!!!

No power to the deck!!!
Okay so I have a 2001 f150 and I bought a new deck. I couldnt get power to the deck through the yellow wire but I could run the deck from crossing the yellow and red wire. I originally lost power to the yellow wire so the plan was to run the deck off of the cigarette lighter and tonight I lost power to the red wire. Like wtf should I do. Should I take these wires out of the trucks harness and connect them that way? or what?
