Default Newbie question on swapping speakers

I have a 2011 SCREW Lariat without Sony system. Looking to get better sound than stock at a minimum effort and cost. That means stock HU, no amp. So I just swapped the two front speakers with infinity reference 6832cf. Definitely better than stock.. But here is the question:

Are rear speakers going to make a difference to the sound in the front? I mean I don't have rear passengers often. If I just keep the rear stock and fade the sound all the way to the front, will I get the same sound in the front as if I have 4 infinity speakers and keep the fade neutral?

I would pony up and get all four. I did this (four aftermarket speakers) and sometimes fade to front if the kids are watching movies in the back. It sounds much better in neutral...more even.
