looking at your photos in the first post it appears as if your power and ground are 4g. that being said not all 4g wire is equal. here is one comparison pic i found on google.

Based on the pics in the first post I wouldn't trust anything about that install. Look at how they did the connect at the battery, particularly the positive wire. The whole setup screams "amateur self install".

I would rip and replace the entire thing, otherwise you are going to just keep discovering new problems like you are now. Or in an extreme case start an electrical fire.
