Tide...that's what I was expecting...quickly getting in to the $2K range. It's hard to justify those prices. But if you can do it all for around $500, then it starts to make some sense to me.

After listening to my speakers tonight with the volume about 3/4 the way up and more it definetly needs improvement fast.
If you havent noticed i dont know a thing about speakers stereo etc

Oh, well the higher the SQ, the higher the price... Plain and simple. I don't kneed booming bass to be heard down the street, nor do I need another idiot rippin me off, so I just stick with medium grade equipment. Many will say infinity and polk are crap, but it's much better than the walmart selection... I would listen to several sets before you buy as I need to do the same with Polk MOMO's...
As for purchasing, I have bought stereo equipment from ebay and have not had one bad issue with a power seller with almost perfect feedback!!

I have 285's on mine and love them. they are a/ts but i wanted m/ts(they are a mild tread pattern) but the a/ts are the same but with a strip of rubber all the way down the middle. they are mastecraft courser's they have deep lugs and my dad and i have had three sets on f150's f250's and a tahoe and they are great
