Ok you said nothing but the speaker you are running. Amps? Box? Electrical? Speakers?
And yes this thread is here to help people but you have to realize that people are bias to what system they are running and think everyone should use the same. But there are so many different brands out there and it all depend on your budget and and what you are looking for...some subs are better for SPL some better for SQ and some that are in the middle. It is all about personal preference.

FAR from it, l7's are not that great ill be honest and say that..are they bad no, for the price are they bad yes. are solo x's for the price bad? yes they are, is there power handleing very over rated? yes they are. im an honest person and look out for others..

Wow you two guys take this pretty serious and thank you for your opinions. I don't want to do any mods to the interior of my truck. I found a pre fab box for 100, it holds to 10". I can't find a price anywhere on DC lvl2's. I want a good quality sound for a good price, i don't need the panels rattling off. The component speakers are a little confusing, 2way or 3way. To be honest I was hoping to pull out the OEM stuff and have the new stuff fit right in, is that possible.

the prices you get from a guy name rusty, visit www.dcsoundlab.com tell him logan (loganberry) sent you and i promise he will get you taken care of, as for components you could do a 2 way and be fine. 2004+ you wont have to do anything to the front door's its a direct drop in, the rears you have to fab a bracket in the rear door's for the speaker and find a place for the tweeter. it is a little more work but well worth it in the end. those subs can get loud and are capeable of it, but they sound VERY good all at the same time

The lvl 2 sounds real good, got it all installed the other day. I used the pre-fab box from music moose since I am w/o wood tools to make on and now I am blasting away.
