New sound in my 2013 STX Supercab
Ok so, I wanted to upgrade the sound in my truck, but not wanting to go too big or too loud, just a nice sound with some added bass. I have, I think, everything I need to do the install but am on the fence on the best way to install it. I have installed several systems in previous vehicles over the past 30 years, but with all the new technology (bluetooth, sync...etc.) I am a little confused. This is where I need help! What is the best way to go about this??
I have the following components waiting to be installed...
HU: Stock (don't want to change)
Doors: RF P1683
Amp: RF R600x5
Sub: RF P3SD4-12
Box: Supercrew
Yes...I like Rockford Fosgate equipment, been using it for years and have never had any issues. lol.

Thanks Wyo11Scab, I picked up a RFK4X, it's a 4 AWG Complete Installation Kit. I am planning on running new speaker wire to each speaker from the amp, but not sure the best way to get the RCA signal to the amp. Don't really want to start cutting up factory wires, if possible. The amp has two high level inputs (front & rear) on the back and came with the two harnesses. Are these for splicing into the speaker wire (front and back) for the signal? If not I will look into the PAC unit you mentioned.

Nevermind...just found it in the owners manual.
High Level Input
High Level Inputs are used when you want to connect an amplifier to your
factory radio or an aftermarket radio that does not have low-level (RCA)
inputs. It allows you to use the signal coming from the speaker outputs as
an input source for the amplifier.
This just made my job alot easier! lol.

Crazy - I just bought a 2013 STX and I want to do exactly what you plan. If after you do the install you have any tips/traps/photos I'd grateful.
Do you have factory tweeters in the A-pillar? I'm curious if those go away with after market amps and speakers.

Well after several hours and a few beers in the driveway last weekend, I finally have what I was looking for. Although it is way louder than I need or wanted, it sounds really crisp and clear with just the right amount of bass! Decided to go with an off-brand of the pac unit (which was a little more involved & the only thing my local store had) instead of the High Level Inputs.
Slider - There's really not much to it. I left the tweeters hooked up in the pillars to round out the sound a bit. I have to say if I had to do it over again, I would probably pay someone to install it all, just because it took me all day. lol. Sorry no pics.

No, I mounted the amp on the passenger side floor under the backseat, the sub & box is under the driver side backseat. I will try to get some pictures in the next day or so for you to see.
