For me it was either the kicker ks68 or the kenwood excellons. The kickers were on sale at Best Buy for 75. A pr so it was happy birthday to me.

I put a set of Kenwood 6.5" components in my front doors and was pretty pleased with them. I am running them off of my 3300bt and it powers them pretty well. The one downsize that I found was the "inline crossover". I thought that it was just a regular crossover, but it's just something wrapped up in heatshrink that you can't adjust. It's nice not to have to mount the crossover, but you can't adjust your highs.

other than that downside though you like them? and how is the bass on them btw?. i got a little christmas present for myself and had two kenwood 6x8 put in. problem is when i was gettin them put in i found out my back two speakers were blown, so at some point i need to put in two more. i love the clarity of the ones i have, but i want them in the back and get some put in the front that has some good bass. "maybe the excellons?" im not sure about that though, ive been told to put kickpanels in but thats more than i wanna spend.

They aren't much for bass. I bought them for the mid-range sound. The tweeters are pretty nice also. You won't be getting huge bass out of any door speaker, that's what subs are for. One thing that does help them out is soundproofing your doors. I did a cheapo soundproofing that improved the sound a lot.

^ I put a set of those Infinitys in my rear doors. I love those speakers, and they have taken a beating for about 5 years now, and still sound as good as the day that I bought them.

They rock hard and are very clean and crisp . Mounted the tweets in the stock position by the window defrost duct. So far so good.
