Default Need help with Dash Kit

Hello everybody,

I just took delivery of a 2014 XLT Super Crew and I ordered it without nav because I wanted to install a Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX to have the Apple Carplay feature. My truck has Sync in that small 4.3" screen (which I don't care for) and I need help finding a Dash kit that will allow me to install my double-DIN Pioneer unit in place of the Sync screen, maintaining the A/C controls on the bottom (please see attached picture).

I found one dash kit that included new A/C controls on the top and a double-DIN space on the bottom, but it wasn't the configuration I want (screen on bottom) and it was also too expensive at $450.

Again, I couldn't care less for Sync and the little 4.3" screen on top.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Mauro

If you already found what you want, sorry for this post.... Have you checked out a company called METRA? They make dash kits. Also Crutchfield may have other options.

I have seen it, but I wanted one with the screen on the top...

Thanks anyway.

You could move the little screen down into the cubby hole where the brake controler goes. Theb put a normal dash kit in

I thought about that, but I don't really care that much for the small screen or for Sync for that matter...

You could do like this guy.

Use an oem panel from a Navi truck.

Edit: Or, wait for the ADS solution. They think they will be able to release it in early 2015. That's what I will probably do.
