need help and advice for stereo setup in 2011 F150
Wow stuff has changed since the last time i had a speaker system. I have the itch to install a system in my truck. i mainly wanted to just replace the door speakers and add tweeter but i thought i might as well get subs throw in as well.
im sure i want to get 2 of the .
4 of the JL Audio C2-525X
what amp or amps do i need and what do i need to look for? do people still us Caps? im going to be using my factory sync single disc stereo so im sure there is a slew of other gadgets im going to need. i rather not go to best buy and ask them since i have bad experience years ago with them.
im also going to need one addition amp to power a wet sounds REV410 that i want a quick disconnect wiring system. going to attach it to my kayak racks while at the beach, farm, or cook outs that i host. My buddy has one of these on his F250 for beach gatherings and let me tell you they are LOUD and out play all the others on the beach.
any help would be great

Look into Alpine HXE-P660, as well as, LCQ-1, and JL Clean Sweep. You'll need something like that from your stock head unit to your amps.
I'm not a fan of Shallow subs. Some people like 'em, but I'm suspicious of how low they can go. For example, the sub you note has a Fs of 45. The 10" Rockford Fosgate sub I have has a Fs of 28 (P210S4), and it fits in its sealed box under my rear seat.
There are smarter guys than me on here. They'll chime in soon enough. Do a search too. That helped me figure out what to get.

Best shallow mount for the $ are the Pioneer ibFlats. I have 3 12"s in a custom sealed enclosure under the rear seat driven by a Fosgate BD1000 and wired for 1.3 ohms. They dig low for dubstep yet are tight and punchy for everything else. They play nicely down to about 28hz and up to 80hz peaking at around 58hz. I cant stress enough about a properly designed enclosure and appropriate power for a quality sub stage.

I'd have to agree with Joeboost here as well. Even though i'm not a huge fan of shallow mounts, pioneer offers some good ones for the $. After owning about eight- type R Alpines, I will warn you away from them. Their response and power handling is severely overrated. I would be surprised if they could play down to 36hz, with peak well above 50.
JL makes good ones as well, but JL's shallow mounts are almost as deep as pioneer and alpine's full range.

Yeah shallows wont move allot of air due to their limited xmax so if you looking for this it isnt gonna happen
but rest assured they will rattle mirrors and punch you in the back if properly enclosed and powered.
