I know you had to cut the padding on the back to get it to fit, but how did you manage to make it look so clean? I can't even tell where it was cut. It almost looks like the padding was custom formed around the box. Tell me your secret!

I'm looking to do a simple 5 channel amp + sub upgrade in the near future.

I'm pretty sure it works for both the 4 inch and 8 inch non Sony units.

I just put the box on the back pad and traced it out then cut the line with a razor knife, went slow and cut strait. Don't try to measure the box and make marks on the pad.

Hows the fitment? The seat latchs up? You also said a bracket hits the box, can that be modified?

This is the bracket that hits, it doesn't hit the actual speaker and the seat folds up fine. If I wanted to I could trim the seat part but I don't see any reason to.

Not to steal your thread but what fuse do you hook your signal wire to? I hooked mine up to #33 radio fuse and amp was always on, may have to go under the Hood.

What did you do about the box hitting the stud for the back seat nut? I was thinking of drilling a hole in the box and putting a nut on it to keep the box in place.

Don't do that, the box wont be sealed if you drill a hole in it,. i used a 2x4 and drilled in it to go over the seat bolt. and the sub box sits on the 2x4, if you look close at some of the pictures you can see the 2x4.
