Staging and timing is everything. It's so hard to explain that to people that just want to add a bunch of speakers in every corner and throw mountains of power to them.

I learned a lot about it in my Titan, which was the first REAL audiophile system I ever put together. I do all of my own work, so I'm forced to learn as I go. I used all CDT components and once I installed and tuned a staging set of tweets, it made everything come together.

That was all amateur compared to what you have here though. This has to be heaven to a music lover.

Well, it sounds like YOU actually understand WHY it sounds so unbelievable.

Honestly, I only barely grasp the concept. But I took the easy way out and just tracked down the gurus and let them take the dare. I placed almost no limits on them. I only asked to save the underseat floor space under the single rear seat. (I have a specific reason) And I emphasized that I was not looking for SPL. I just want to sit back on my occasional 15 hour cross country drives and enjoy the music like I was sitting at home in front of some studio monitors. Obviously they knew the listening environment was as crucial (or more) than the actual hardware.

Like I mentioned earlier, I think my favorite aspect is the dead quiet, or absence of noise competing with the music. It makes all the difference in the world. And then the crazy fact that notes that I KNOW must be coming from the doors are actually arriving at me from in front! Just fantastic.

I was slightly concerned with possibly having buyers remorse at the large budget this required. But it was shear folly to worry. I have zero regrets! I know that what I'm blessed with is rare air indeed.

Just glad I was able to do this at 60 years old. If I had waited much longer I might not have had the hearing to appreciate it.

Lol, I'm only 39 and I'm not so sure I'll have the hearing to enjoy it much longer...LMAO!

The sound control they applied to your truck is extensive; that alone was probably a descent chunk of the expense. I'd love to know what they used in the doors, from what I can see in your pics it's extremely well thought out. A truck (especially an aluminum one) is not the best environment for sound control OR staging, so you definitely chose the right people with the right no-how.

Off topic, but by your screen name, are you Cobra owner? I only ask because I've had quite a few; currently GT500.

They do incredible work. A couple of my friends have show trucks (and I mean show trucks, painted undercarriage, full interior rebuild, etc) that had their interiors done there. The works, full console build, headliner, custom leather, custom box under the rear seat, etc. All Focal equipment for the most part.

Where are you located? That's a beautiful truck!

No cobras. I've been a truck\motorcycle guy for most of the last half-century.
Diesel trucks and dirt/adventure bikes.

Did have an SVO mustang in 84, and the wife had an LX convertible in around 91 or 92.
Obviously we've been a Ford family forever.

That GT500 is a sweeeeet machine. Congrats?

Chris is one of the best in the business. I was at his shop this past weekend buying stuff for my F250 which he will be tuning later. His sub enclosures for the F150-F350 are beyond top notch.

Nice! I've got family down there, and thought about buying land there myself. Currently between jobs which is holding up that for obvious reasons. I was in College Station for 3 years getting my Engineering degree though, I love that town.
