very well said wde! nice to see a fellow trouble shooters thought process!

and yes the cleansweep was the first and best factory integration unit ive seen. ive tried mtx and rockfords crap but the cleansweep is way better. i think its pretty pricey tho it can take inputs and combine them allowing you to make a full range output out of a factory 3 way system like on bmws

I use the rockford one and it also does summing like the cleansweep. I compared it with the cleansweep when purchasing, they both do all the same, but the rockford 3sixty adds in the ability to equalize some channels. For the price, i think the rockford 3sixty is a better deal.

yup its ok. but theres 2 3sixtys
one is a dummed down version with no summing and limited eq adjustments. i thinks its like 250 used it and it sucked
but then the 3sixty.2 or something like that is very comparable to the cleansweep it was pretty sweet. but i think the prices are close. and lets face it Rockford or JL

Wow.. I posted this in 2007 . I've since sold the cleansweep and went with an aftermarket HU but i can say.. If you want to keep the fatcory HU I'd look into considering a CS..

I've got the 3sixty.1 (and got it for 180), and it sums the signals and gives flat response across all channels (same as the CS or 3sixty.2). The only thing the .1 lacks over the .2 is the built in crossovers (i have my JL amps take care of this) and a lot more EQ bands (would be nice to have, but not worth the extra cost, and the CS comes with none). The 3sixty.1 is a direct competitor with the CS, and has all the features of the CS plus 5.1 capability plus eq and an aux. input. And at a lower price point, its a much better deal. Only benefit of the CS over the 3sixty is its more automated to setup, and doesn't require a bluetooth device to configure it. The 3sixty.2 blows the CS out of the water in terms of capabilities and features, at about the same price.

I maintain that the 3sixty (in either iteration) is a better device than the CS in features, and provides the same performance as far as signal summing and leveling. And at the price JL charges for the CS, its not a very good value at all, its way overpriced. That said, JL does make quality equipment and the CS is a good unit, they just charge more for it than its worth, especially with a competitor like the 3sixty. Shoot, I have my 3sixty hooked up to a JL 360.4 amp (where i do my crossover for highpass) and soon to be hooked up to a JL 250/1 which will be lowpass for my DC Sound Lab 10".
