Mr Roboto I think is a great track. It tests a bit of everything.

This use to be the speaker test back in the day... Good Vibrations performed by Papa Do Run Run off their Telearc disc. At around the 2:50 mark this use to test a speaker system.
If all else fails it is a Beach Boys tune and that is good for a warm March day.

what format are you using to listen?

sat. radio?
CD?
jump drive?

I had a friend in the car, who's into higher end audio, and we listed to a ZAC brown CD, and he felt the stereo in the truck was pretty decent.

next time we listened to sat. and mp3 and he was less then impressed w/ the sound.

so the compressed music really takes away from the system, where a full version (CD) made it sound good.

Most of what I listen from is the SD card with my entire music collection on it. All my regular CDs are packed away in a closet. And the bit quality sure jumps around and I can hear the difference. What comes as a surprise is that the ones I ripped from CDs and are in the larger wma format, are only at 192kbps and I thought I had it set at highest quality, to whereas most of the recent downloaded music in mp3, are 320kbps.

Most of my music is mp3 at 192 but lately I have been using wma lossless and the Microsoft system in the truck responds well to that format. I use ipods, iphones, and recently started using a flash drive, for testing I use the flash drive. I like having options and the F150 has many so I try to use them all.

Ipods and Iphones wont hold wma lossless I thought... atleast from my memory from a few years ago (one of the many reasons I had a Zune and not and Ipod)

You are correct about no wma with apple products so I just use whatever apple likes for them. I have iTunes set to rip everything to mp3 at 192 and I have windows media player set to rip everything to wma lossless.

This goes in the "should just look it up in the manual" category: Does anyone know if the 2015's support flac format?

Edit: It looks like it doesn't. That sucks, given its 2016.

On to the next question: What is the largest SD card size supported? What is the max # songs/directories. Off to the manual to answer those..

Edit: Answer: The system is capable of indexing up to 15,000 songs. It looks like the drive must be formatted as FAT or FAT32.
