Default Music for Testing a Sound System.

What music are you guys and gals using to set up a new system? I have been using Miss Independent by Kelley Clarkson. Just wondering what others have for a favorite test song.

I use that song a lot too, when setting my sub, or showing off how it sounds.
Red Red Wine is good too.

I actually specifically test all genres. Most important is my test with Skrillex, Knife Party, Keys and Krates, stuff like that. They really let you test the range and clearness of your speakers. But I also play some country (what I listen to the most), rock, and hip hop to make sure the speakers always sound good. Last but not least ill play a podcast or an audio book to make sure that when listening to spoke word everything is clear.

I kinda miss my Mazda 3's sound system I put in. Favorite part was the 1200 watt 10" competition sub. Now that I dont have that I just listen to my V8

I throw in some Slayer, Godflesh, Cannibal Corpse, then switch it to Dr Dre, Pink, and Skillet. Then I finish off with I Prevail's cover of Taylor Swift's Blank Space.

I'm with berty in that I like to test over a wide verity of genre's. I listen to all of that stuff and even country. So I like to test for everything. You can get it sounding really good for one genre, and have another genre sound like crap.

Mainly a country listener, but really listen to a little of all of it. I like these two for starters.

Hotel California - Live - off the Hell Freezes Over Album - good guitar
Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas - some big bass

I'm trying to decide if there is sarcasm in that or not? I thought that was a pretty kick *** rendition - wish she would record it all.

Thanks everyone, this is the input I was looking for. I listen to all types of music myself, mostly rock but I have a vast collection of music that covers every genre.

I like Lady GaGa and I think that she is very talented and entertaining, I just don't have but a few of her songs.
