Default Mixed answers- Door Speakers!

Hey Guys,
I'm looking to upgrade my factory speakers both in the front and back. I have a 2011 FX4 supercrew. I'm just wondering what size speakers I can buy?
Thanks, much appreciated.

you can make your doors hold whatever you want. i have either 6x8 or 5x7 n rear doors unsure which it is and fits n the original spot the ford speaker did.. my front doors i run a three way component so they are totally different i have a plate that holds a 4 inch mid and i have kick panels that hold my 6.5 and tweeter.

Ford drives me nuts with their 5x7/6x8 speaker standard sizes. The fact is there is a world of difference in sound quality between an aftermarket 6x9 and a 5x7/6x8. There is plenty of room in these big truck doors for a 6x9. Wish they had designed for that.

Any component system is light years ahead of coaxials. Although most aftermarket coaxial make a huge different over stock, but if you have ever heard a component system amped with the crossovers set at the appropriate slopes you know what I mean.

Yeah - tried to get a 6x9 to fit in a '11 SCREW but it would require more cutting that I wanted to do even with a 3/4 baffle.
