Default Looks Like Zen Will Have Some Competition Soon

It looks like Metra has something in the works to compete with the Zen A2B. I've read great things on here about the Zen, just a little too steep for me at the moment.

This is wonderful news!!! I can't wait until they are released. I bet Zen will drop their prices significantly.

I just heard back from my distributor and he said they aren't out and doesn't have any ETA. The good news is that the pricing is significantly cheaper. I'm talking wayyyyyy the hell cheaper.

I have no loyalty to one brand but I can say the zen a2b has worked flawlessly for me. But if it drives prices down, excellent. I am glad to see a little competition.

For those that are waiting for this unit to release, why not just buy the NAVTV Zen a2b?

NavTV Zen a2b DSP12A $549.99

Axxess AX-DSP-A2B2 $509.99

I like the fact that the Axxess wiring harness will have high level speaker wiring built in. I also suspect Axxess will have more sellers with street prices lower than MSRP.

True but the NavTV harness already has the pins for the oem speaker channels. Whether you go with the axxess or NavTV, you will have to solder your amps output the either harness. Further, both unit will require you to run tweeter channels. No way around that.
