Looking for a small budget upgrade.

Also, it's important to understand that SQ does not mean expensive or intricate. SQ can be very budget friendly and very simple with the right components and you would be blown away by the results!

Minor update to my progress so far.
I will be sticking with my current speaker set up for now and gonna see how it sounds.
I have decided to save up some more money for my amp selection. I was back and forth over the Kenwood Excelon XR301-4 or the XR401-4 for the doors. I originally posted in this thread that I do not want a subwoofer at this time ( I love subwoofers lol, I promise ). After doing some research and watching some amp dyno video's etc. I am gonna go with the Kenwood Excelon X801-5 ( 5 Channel ) amp.
I will have the option of adding a subwoofer down the road if I want too.

Great plan of attack with the 5-channel. That's an excellent amp too!

If I decided to add a sub to the truck in the furture. The amp I am looking at tested at 300w RMS @ 4 ohms. Could I run this sub without causing any issue ?

Since it is only rated for 250w RMS @ 4 ohms... Would this simply require amp gain settings to run it safely ? My local shop has 4 of these in stock currently for $170. Seems like a good deal.

Lazy route
I went the lazy route. I went out and spent $499 on JBL’s Concert Edition for 2018 Ford F150. Replaces the 4 door speakers, comes with two 8” subs, 360 watt amp w/digital signal processing. Its completely plug n play.
