Does this only work with one amp? I plan on installing a 4 channel and 1 channel and it looks like this only has one output.

I went with the PAC aoem-frd24, $42 from sonicelectronix.com and free shipping. It has two outputs for amps as well. http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...uctId=548&Cate..

Your 4 channel should have a set of outputs. Run both sets of RCAs to the 4 channel, and run a set from the output to the mono amp. That is what I plan to do when I install mine.

My amps have the line output, so I'm gonna try that first. I've heard it doesn't sound as good with the line outputs. So if they do not work I will go this route

Hey guys, just thought I would chime in, as I am in the middle of the same project. After a lot of research I have discovered that the PAC actually does not work with all 2013 head units. Also, not all of us are keen on ripping our brand new dash apart. I decided to go with a single enclosed JBL 12" sub and matched amp, and an LC2i.

One of the reasons I took this route over the pac, is that the LC2i compensates for the stock head unit's bass attenuation. I have seen many people say that when you install a sub with the PAC, that bass attenuation is still there at higher volumes and the bass sounds flabby and weak. Reviews for the LC2i are excellent, everybody says they sound amazing, and it doesn't require ripping into the dash.

If anybody here has a good source about where to tie into the rear speaker wires, where they are located, wire colors etc that would be much appreciated. Also, I know the bass is mono in pretty well all music, so tapping into only one side should be fine right?

Sherwood, how do you split the 2-channel output into 4 for the front and rear speakers? Also, I guess when you do this you will lose the fade control in the HU?

Hey, I actually haven't given this any thought as I'm only installing a sub at this point. I think in the future I would just split the two into four I guess? Like you say, that would lose the fade function but thats a minor loss for a sound upgrade
