Default LC7i or FIX86

Researching for my future build...2018 Screw non Sony 6 speaker. I was leaning towards the Lc71 line out converter but then I read about the JL Fix 86 is so much better in that it’s an actual sound processor rather than the lc7i which is a glorified line out. My question is am I overthinking the process and just go with the lc7i? I kinda like to do things right the first time and want a good sounding system. Planning on door speakers powered by a alpine 4 channel and a 10” sun powered by a alpine mono. What do you guys think?
Thanks.

From what I understand the Fix is better and easier to configure.

I was super close to buying the Fix but was talked into the Audison AP8.9 (amp/dsp combo). If you already have a 4 channel amp, though, the Fix would be one of my first choices.

If I get the fix86, do I also have to buy something else or is it self sufficient? Meaning I can run my rca's strait to the amp, with no other "box", correct?
