Default Kicker Hideaway with Sony

So I read quite a bit in here as far as aftermarket with the Sony system, although there seems to be a wide range of opinions.

As like others the Sony sub is quite lacking, overall sound isn't bad but it lacks some bass.

The hideaway addition seems pretty strait forward. Anyone else installed it in addition to there Sony system w/ sub? Wiring guides?

I'm looking to add this behind the rear seats, seems the wiring to the front speakers is preferred? Is the mounting strait forward in the SCREW?

Anyone else have any tips on this install besides what is already posted.

Thanks.

Ill say it again, lol
for your money the kicker is a waste. not much different from your Sony sub.
If the oem isn't enough neither will the kicker.
.

plenty of good options that will give you better results for the same if not less expense.

I'm honestly not looking for a lot more. The sound quality is fine but the lack of bass is a no go.

I'm well past my glass vibrating days. Also not trying to eliminate all the space underneath the seats either. The drop in option from a ease of install point seemed appealing and also semi low cost.

many have installed the jl compact 8's behind the seat ( not personally a fan of jl, but people like that option.) Im running a pair of sa8's under the seat and one would be sufficient for a nice bottom end and leave half of the under seat area.

I tapped the Sony sub input wires, added a LOC for input to the powered sub behind the seat. Didn't bother with running wires to the front speakers. With Sony sub and powered sub, sounds good to my ears.

The Kicker will be on par with the Sony, so it's a waste to add it. I would suggest adding a good sub if you want more bass.
