Default Kicker DSP with Nav HU and Sony Sound

Did anyone attempt to use the Kicker DSP and harness with the factory Nav/Sony sound system?
I bought the complete sound stage and installed the Kicker speakers and subwoofer. The speakers are still lacking. It bugs me that I have this amp and wiring harness that may make this unit perform as it was designed.
I'm not up to speed on the ins and outs of audio so if you attempt to educate please be slow and gentle. Thx.

So why can't the Sony amp be eliminated and use the Kicker amp?

The Sony takes digital signals from the HU and it is crossed over and amped by the Sony amp. The Sony amp provides power to each speaker individually. The Kicker amp is made to enhance/amp to base factory Hu's. You can add a signal processor and amp after the factory Sony amp. It isn't plug n play by any means.
