Installing LC2i - 2017 XLT SCREW
Forgive me if the answer is somewhere on this site as I am sure it is. I was not able to locate it through search. I’m installing my system tomorrow in my new 2017 XLT Screw. It has the 302a package with the 8” display and nav (non-Sony). Here is what I got.
1) Two 10JLW1 3-4 in a downfire box
2) Alpine M500
3) AudioControl LC2i
4) AudioControl Bass ****
5) Kicker PK4 4 gauge kit
I installed my system in my previous truck (2016 XLT). I didn’t have the LC2 and I used a cheap Kicker LOC. I tapped it into the rear door speakers through the passenger side B-Pillar. I have been told that when installing the LC2, it is better to wire it to the front door speakers. I’m not exactly sure the best way to do that and would love it if you guys can share a How-To or something. Ideally I do NOT want to cut any OEM wires. I plan to use Scotch Locks or something. What’s the best and easiest way to wire my LC2? I’ll be doing this in some very cold weather with 2 ft of snow on the ground so I would love to get it done quick. Thanks!

I’m not sure if the rear signal is any different than the front. If that’s the case it doesn’t matter which you tap into. That being said, if you don’t want to cut any factory wires (I didn’t) then the Parrot FOR-11CK is a go between wiring harness that connects between the stock harness. People will use it to connect their 9-wire to to run to a DSP and then to the factory door speakers. You can use it though as an intermediary to tap into if you’d like though. For your application, it’s just a harness that connects between the two factory connections and you can do what ever you’d like to it.
