Default Kicker 43TCWRT104 behind back seat?

Hi guys just was wondering if anybody has considered using this sub behind the back seat, I have a 2016 F-150 and I considering doing another upgrade to my sub I have a Kicker SF150SC15 and it sounds pretty good but I think these will sound a little better because its a 10in. instead of a 8in. and also I can use a remote bass **** if the sub will fit, the dimensions of the box is
width 23-1/4
height 11-13/16
bottom depth 6-9/16
top depth 3-7/16

The bottom depth will be a problem, 6 9/16" will rub (or not fit at all). My box has a bottom of 4in and maybe has an inch extra of clearance.

Top down picture.

Thanks for the reply gtz, I was wondering if the installers was to cut the backing and push it to the very back if that would be just enough, the stereo shop wanted to order it for me but I just want to make sure it fits before I do.

Mine is cut and pushed all the way back as well. I might hold off on ordering it unless the stereo shop has a pretty good return policy.

Hmm I may go your rout and maybe drop a JL AUDIO 10TW3-D4 in the box, how does yours sound and where did you put your amp(s)?

My sub is a 10" W1V2, sounds pretty good. Nothing earth shattering, but very solid. Built the box to at least meet the minimum cubic feet requirement, so the sub would not be air deprived. I considered a W3T, it is a great sounding woofer. But could not justify the performance/cost ratio. The 10W1V2 has a mounting depth of just a little over 4", I built a box around those specs after I tracked one down (the newer 10W1 V3 has a larger mounting depth). If I would not have got the W1 cheap, I probably would have bought the Pioneer shallow mount.

Pic of the box once I finished building it. I made the depth of the magnet slightly deeper to accommodate the woofer.

As far as amps go, I have my subwoofer amp beneath the seat (made a cover for the amp to hide it) and my speaker amp in the dash behind my 8in screen.

Hope this helps.

Don't let that sub amp overheat!

It won't over heat, the amp is designed to run @ 1ohm (could do .5ohm as well). Have it wired at 4ohms, the amp runs very efficient because of this and amperage draw is at a minimum and still delivers around 200 watts to the subwoofer.

Stated because of the cover you built over it. Sounds like it will be cool enough
