I prefer Kenwood, for the built in Garmin GPS.... Ive had my 892 installed now in my truck for 8 months, and have had no issues.

If you have Sirus, you can reuse the stock roof mounted antenna but need a new aftermarket Sirius/XM tuner!

Heres a few pics installed....

Thank you for the pictures! Looks good in there, I am leaning towards the Kenwood. It appears the new model is not quite out yet, not sure if I'm going to wait a few weeks or just get what is out now.

I do not have Sirus or anything on the roof, that was going to be my next investigation. Thanks again for the pics, looks good in there!

Did you upgrade any of your speakers?

Yes ATXFord, I installed Infinity X Reference 5x7's in all 4 doors, plus Tweets in stock Pillar locations. And a Kicker Substage under the rear seat!

Sounds 100x better!

Id say depends on your budget, I really like the new 2016 Kenwood 893s. As it also adds on Android Auto, and Apple Carplay, plus plays Hi-Res music files via usb. Its not cheap though at 1299.99, the 2016 773s is basically the same. But has 1 rear usb input vs. The 893s 2 usb ports.

The 773s has 3 volt pre amp inputs, vs. The 893s 5 volt pre amp inputs. Other than that, and the 773s being 199.99 less, theyre identical!

I got my Refurbished 892 from Crutchfield.com last Augast for 749.99! I also added the oem Ford logo reverse camera from the camera source, for additional 159.00. Be sure to get the Maestro Rr module, with whatever HU you choose. It allows for much more Flexibility, when you add your Aftermarket HU!

Default Pulled the trigger...

Went with the Kenwood, the new model. They are on pre-order right now so I'm not 100% sure when it will ship. I'll update this thread with pics/install.

Went with the 693S. Mostly what I saw was the Android support, but I am an Apple guy.

Now I need to look into rear/forward facing cameras and the iDatalink Maestro.

With yours being a 2006 would you gain anything from having the iDatalink Maestro?

Nope, the only product that is compatible is their steering wheel control right now.

If you want a good quality backup cam, go to The Camera Source. They offer a Forum discount as well. I got the upgraded nite camera. Great visibility day or nite.
