Kenwood vs Pioneer NAV
Hello! Nice to be here and my first post!
I'm trying to decide between the Kenwood and Pioneer as the title suggests. Although the 2006 looks fairly new, the technology isn't! I was wondering if anyone has pictures of either installed in a 2006 or similar year? I've done quite a bit of research on both, I think they are both good options.

When I was an enthusiast when I was 16 (20 years ago) I ran all Kenwood in my cars. I'm partial to them, but I also run Pioneer in the house. At almost twice the price I'm not sure the Kenwood is worth it.
If anyone has experience with these and/or has pictures, I would appreciate your feedback!
[EDIT]
One other thing to mention, I run Apple products.
Thanks!
Mike

Welcome to the forums.
Any particular reason you chose that Kenwood?
There are quite a few different options and since you said you run Apple, you could get something with Car Play, such as:

Highly recommend giving both a try in a local dealer or shop. Personal preference is huge in Navigation. try entering an address into either model and see which seems more intuitive to you. check to see which supports traffic, finds more POI's etc.

I'll see who is around to navigate them in person, that is a good idea!

I thought about that, but I am not a fan of Apple's GPS/Maps. I live in a new development that is about 2 years old and the Garmin shows my house and Apple Maps still doesn't.
I've also thought about no NAV at all and just use my GPS, but it would be nice to be consolidated and not have a GPS and wire hanging around.

Apple Maps is one of the main reasons I have not gotten a Kenwood HU. Until Car Play supports Google or Waze I will probably stick with having my cell phone rest on the upper shelf of my dash.

You can do the same thing on specific models of Kenwood too. The problem is you have to disable Car Play in the Kenwood and it seems like you have to do the same with the Pioneer.
