Default jl audio c2-570 door speakers

Hey guys have a few questions about door speakers. I'm looking to replace the stock "sony" door speakers for some aftermarket ones. What are you guys using??? What's good out there? I want some to sound clear and crisp. An audio shop suggested some jl audio c2-570 speakers. I will be amping them and replacing all four of them. Audio shop quoted me $800 for 2 sets of jl audio c2-570 speakers, a jl audio amp for them and installation wiring and everything included? Sound like a fair price? I know jl audio is good quality but just seeing what else you guys are using. Thanks

Also forgot to mention that I have a DNX890 Kenwood HU and 4 8" kickers under my seat! So replacement door speakers is a must!

i had the c2's and i have the kenwood 9990, i blew out both rear door c2's. i might have over powered them. I had a JL audio 600/4hd on them, which gave each one 150watts each. They sounded good while they lasted. I have Focal components now.

I just put 4 JL C2 in my 12 running off a JL 4 channel and they are solid. I wasn't going for huge volume, most clarity of sound at higher volume then stock by far and they did exactly that.

Price wise, I have no idea, I have about $1500 all said and done in mine and that was two JL 10's, supercrew sound box, JL mono amp pushing subs, the JL door speakers off JL off 4 channel and that's including $250 for install of it all.

Do you have any pics of the 4-8's under the seat?

So overall you were satisfied with the c2's?

I've heard good reviews about them. What JL subs did you go with? Did you go with a down fire box?

MileHighFX,

I had the same questions as you and posted on several forums and received many responses as well as read all of the reviews on Crutchfield. What finally made me make a decision on a speaker was visiting stereo shops and hearing them on my own.

I ended up going with a component system up front with the Helix Esprit E62C. Clarity on these speakers are super impressive and they sounded better than any other speaker I heard, including JL's and some other more expensive speakers.

The Helix aren't cheap but I do feel I got what I paid for and enjoy every penny of the purchase daily. Don't however buy these for all 4 doors, only the front. In the rear a decent set of coaxials will do the trick for fill.
